build and evaluate a network traffic monitoring and intrusion detection laboratory, using synthetic or publicly available attack traffic datasets to validate detection rules and logic.
Overview
This project is designed to help individuals and institutions inside a computer network to prioritise their online safety and security, and this is critical to maintaining privacy and secure access to company resources. We mitigate threat actors' abilities to jeopardise personal and business resources by detecting and alerting when attacks occur.
We will measure accuracy of malicious traffic, False positive/negative rates, Detection Time, Precision (amount of attacks detected), Using repeatable/tangible attacks that are reliable
